Mick Extance, engine blows at the Dakar

19 January 2007
Mick Extance, the UK’s best hope in the Dakar Rally did not complete the race due to an engine failure.
Whilst competing in a very fast special test in Africa. He noticed the bike was not performing as it should and held back the revs but the engine seized up.
Mick was lost in the desert for a while whilst every one was franticly looking for him, but all ended well and he is safe and well.
He is already looking forward to next years rally, so don’t count him out.
Good luck for next year Mick form all at M.R.S.
