Phase one now 3rd in endurance world championship.

The senior pit team won the 'least time in pit/lane' award with 18mins 41secs total. (YART were second with 19mins 01 secs.) The senior pit crew also achieved the optimum race strategy (only 22 stops) and outpitted all the other major teams.
Phase One Endurance entered a team comprising Warwick Nowland, Christer Miinin and Damian Cudlin for the sixth round of the 2006 WEC held at Oschersleben, Germany on Sat/Sun, 12/13th August. The 24hrs, 891 lap race which started at 15.00hrs, was held in warm daytime conditions, dipping to a 16 degrees C track temperature at night and followed by light rain in the late morning, was won by SERT.
Phase One and Bolliger were locked in battle for third place for much of the race - the details are in the full newsletter only available to supporters club members.
The battle ended at 15.00 hrs, with Phase One Yamaha third and Bolliger Kawasaki Switzerland fourth, with 234 seconds separation….and every team member played a part, a true team race.
The Shell Endurance Academy achieved another fine points scoring result at their second 24 hrs race, with a hard fought 11th position. This result raises the team to 10th in the WEC with great prospects for maintaining or improving on that at the Bol d'Or.
For this event the normal SEA team of Dubelski / Rowley / Verboven was re established, and to good effect. Dubelski was fastest qualifier for the team but left the start to Verboven. The race was almost perfect, the only incident being a light fall by Rowley at 22.27, on spilt gravel, from which he quickly returned. Repairs cost 2 mins 20 secs .and involved a re-aligned right bar, taped screen and seat and a re-angled brake lever. The race was a 23 stop affair (almost optimum) with a total pit/lane time of 21 mins 38 secs.
The team travel to the Bol d'Or for the weekend of 16th / 17th September to attempt to maintain their 10th place in the WEC.
